There are today more than 400 million active members on Facebook and the numbers are increasing quite rapidly. Nowadays it is not only private individuals who are using Facebook, but also companies. As many of you already know the Benche is also on Facebook with a fan page (314 fans right now), but I guess many more of our 4,000 plus members have an account on Facebook. So, we have now added some new Facebook functionalities to the Benche.
Facebook Connect is a new icon button in the top right corner of the Benche. Click the button and you will be asked if you want to link your Facebook account with the Benche. In principle this means that the Benche will be allowed to ”see” your public profile on Facebook, but only your public profile. In other words, the Benche will not have the same rights as one of your Facebook friends, it will only be as much as you allow everyone else to have.
On the other hand if you connect to the Benche you have the possibility to publish your post/blog etc also on your Facebook page. As you can see in the picture below you now have an option when making a comment/post to also publish it to your Facebook account for your friends to see. But it is of course optional.

You might also have noticed that there are now Like-buttons on the Benche looking like this:
. The idea is that if you like something you should click the button to tell your Facebook friends what you like so they also can find their way to an interesting post or maybe a very good blog.
Anyhow, hope you who are on Facebook will "like"
this new functionality on the Benche!Hakan
